Hey All,
Wishing you well from Decorah, Iowa. We just got done weathering the storm that is Nordic Fest. Lots of lefse and lutefisk is consumed. Rosemaling is gazed upon. Sweat clogs the gutters on what is invariably the hottest, most humid weekend in the already god-awful Iowa summer. The Harrington sweet corn truck has arrived at the Casey’s gas-station parking lot. All is as it should be.

OK. That’s enough urls for one email, I’m sure. One last thought. If you haven’t seen David Lynch’s film, “The Straight Story” (the one about the old geezer who rides his lawnmower across Iowa to see his sick brother), I think you should. It’s a great portrait of Iowa and it combines sweetness with the most subdued freakishness from David Lynch to date.
