Decorah, Oshkosh, Winona, Asian Lady Beetles?

Hi All,

Greetings from sunny Decorah. The warm, fall weather the last couple of days has been the perfect opportunity for insects to start swarming all over the front of my cabin. Besides the usual wasps, bees, ants, and other assorted vermin, I am visited by hundreds of boxelder bugs. The first ambassadors of my friends the asian lady beetles have arrived and I’m expecting a mass invasion any day. Additionally, I spotted what I can only assume was a MOUNTAIN LION while hiking near the cabin the other day. Things are getting real interesting here in my little valley.

In non-animal-related news, I will be playing some shows soon…

FRIDAY, SEPT 29, 9pm
Marty’s / Luther College

opening for JOE PRICE
http://www.joepriceblues.com/

THURSDAY, OCT 5

In the works is a Decorah house concert tentatively scheduled for October 6th. Also a tentative Jackson Street Polecats show in Oshkosh on October 13th. More soon…

Hope to see you at the shows. Don’t forget to protect yourself from wild animals. I recommend wearing a helmet.

love, Jeff
